The Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program (Yellow Ribbon Program) is a provision
of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008. For more information
for the Post-9/11 GI Bill click here. Under the Yellow Ribbon agreement, the remaining amount of tuition and fees will
be matched by King University and the Department of Veterans Affairs. This means 100%
of your tuition and fees (tuition and fees only does not include room and board) will
be paid while enrolled at King University. The Department of Veterans Affairs will
also pay you a monthly housing allowance, which can be used toward a payment plan
for On Campus Room and Board charges, and up to $1,000 stipend for books and supplies.
Detailed information about the Yellow Ribbon Program can be found here: http://www.benefits.va.gov/gibill. Since this program pays 100% of your tuition and fees, students who are awarded
through this program are not eligible for any other institutional scholarships at
King University. Please be advised, not all fees are covered.
Students who receive Chapter 33 benefits (less than 100%) can receive their VA Chapter
33 benefits and King University institutional aid up to the cost of tuition and fees.
Please be advised, not all fees are covered.
How do I apply for Yellow Ribbon?
Students who plan to use their VA Educational Benefits must notify the School’s Certifying
Official (SCO) and complete the VA Certification Request Form. This form tells the
student what chapter of benefits the student plans to use. Once the student receives
a copy of their Certificate of Eligibility (COE), they must forward a copy to the
SCO. The COE will tell the SCO if the student is eligibility for Yellow Ribbon.
How will I know if I am accepted into the Yellow Ribbon program?
Your Financial Aid award and billing statement will state the amount of eligbility.
